KIKKI MATTOCKS

A WOMAN WITH A VISION AND MISSION

Kikki Mattocks

Kikki is a flight attendant with a major carrier, based in Atlanta, GA.  She began writing her first book in the 3rd grade, however, she realized she had a real gift in college.  When her friends would take days and weeks to finish writing assignments, she would complete them in one night.

Over the years, she has written many short stories and poems, to her friends' and family's delight.  Her journey

as a writer includes strengthening her relationship with God, spending time with her family, reading and traveling.

Kikki is the eldest of 21 grandchildren and is inspired by

the children in her family, as well as those she meets on

her travels abroad.  She credits her grandmother, Larine Rhodes, with her gift of speaking and desire for continuous learning.

She received her degree in Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  She spent part of her college career in Seville, Spain and now resides in Atlanta, GA.

Kikki is all about educating our youth and young adults.  During the pandemic, she realized our young Black youth would be at a disadvantage, by possibly not being in a school environment and she wanted to find a way to help.

She worked with the Kumon Math and Reading Learning Program to get a feel for tutoring our youth and helping them on their journey to reading.

"Join me on my quest to help our youth succeed by requesting a Book Signing, Reading Hour or Motivational Speaking engagement at your organization! I am available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and can make my schedule flexible, as other days are needed".

“A strong woman knows she has strength enough for the journey, but a woman of strength knows it is in the journey where she will become strong.”
